I'd like to think the straight up hostile, anti-social personalities involved and stirring things up in our modern day "Freedomer" analogues keeps 'em from being able to successfully organize larger numbers (see: the Proud Boys)...
I think the american population in general is incapable of managing anything more than political bickering. Being the enlightened centrist I am, I have seen movements on both ends of the spectrum fall flat on their face.
I think if any political movement wants to gain enough traction to influence the US Government, they should start collaborating with the French. They know how to get shit done.
