Had a really depressing week last week, but I'm back. Let's keep this thing going.

man, got characters dropping faster than the second episode of Band of Brothers

Isn't that a disadvantage of digital art--you spend hours building a character, with all sorts of little details, only to blast him to ribbons after 2-3 pages?

God you have no idea.

It's a lot less work than you'd think though, I mainly take pre existing assets made or ported by the talented folks in the community and stitch them together to the best of my ability. Anything more complex than what I'm doing would require knowledge of 3d modeling and I don't have the time to wrap my head around modeling for a game engine from the early 2000s. Everyone you see is a mishmash of model parts from several different games. The junk in this office (which is a scale model of the Dunder Mifflin office) is from Escape From Tarkov, most of the guns are too. Sam's rifle is from Call of Duty, as are 90% of the other assets. I've commissioned stuff, but I've never really tailor made anything from scratch because money is limited and so is the patience of the folks I approach.

I have said to myself several times "that bad guy looks dope, I'm sad I wasted his design on cannon fodder". The guy in the balaclava and dessert camo behind the desk being one of them. There's another bad guy from earlier, the guy who got turned into spaghetti, that was actually going to be a main character later -but I decided to make him one of these British mercs because of time constraints and lack of access to the actual models I'd wanted to use.

It's been so hard to make these pages knowing that my characters are getting their shit kicked in right now lol. But you'll see soon enough why this absolute curb stomping is necessary
