Trailer is out, featuring my god awful voice acting (apparently the BBC is hiring british folks who sound strangely Australian). Hopefully this drives more traffic here for what's to come. Which, by the way, should be happening pretty soon. 

Both Arthur and Samantha are recieving new models, courtesy of the wonderful and talented ArachnitCZ and Kuge. Glory to Czechia and the Chinese GMOD community! I do have to hand over my firstborn son, but that's neither here nor there. I'm going to start production on Chapter 5 today with what I have, meaning there might be delays between pages later on, but that's the price we pay for using a 20 year old game engine.   haha nevermind the computer is acting up again and I'm getting it fixed next weekend. Fuck my entire life.

So the new guy not only is doing exactly what I want, but he's putting up with my autistic level of particularity about her gear. Mags are laid out based on my own personal setup, the belt is the setup I wanted to build for my competition rig. You can't see the IFAK around back, but peep that safariland holster on a mid ride.

I think there's one band I listen to more than any other when I'm working on this thing, and it's HEALTH. Their sound is at the very foundation of how I wanted this thing to look and feel. Go give them a listen if you haven't.

I'm working with a Venezuelan fella for the character models I'm getting done, which presents an interesting dilemma. I'm happy to be paying a friend of mine to do work, and he's more than happy to receive the money, but with the country's infrastructure being what it is, it's delaying things significantly. 

I promise I've not abandoned you guys. I promise you I'm still writing and creating the assets that I can in order to continue this story. 
 

Join Or Die, in its entirety, is live! It's been really fun and a little challenging to try and put something together in one go. Usually I space things out and work when I can, but I was (unwillingly) given some spare time and I decided to put the pedal to the floor and go for it. Hope you enjoy!

And the second thing; Operation; Necromancer.

This is the latest in a series of short films by the wonderfully talented CallsignReach. Like me, he's a lore guy. The lore of the Simulacrum series is deep and, unlike most youtube stuff, consistent. I can tell he really cares about his productions. Reach was gracious enough to let yours truly do some voice work for this film. I won't tell you which characters I am, you gotta watch the whole thing. Give it a watch, you won't regret it. 

 
No points will be awarded to the person who gets an ID on my character. You'll get some nice back pats, though. 

To coincide with the relase of a different thing I'm involved in, I'll be dropping the entirety of JoD on the 30th. Just three more days, homies. I'm probably more hyped than anyone else about this. 

Got pneumonia. Lovely. Every goddamn year, without fail, I will come down with this. It'll be wonderful when I can actually afford to go to a doctor when this happens, which should hopefully be soon since I've recieved a promotion at work. Can't really go into the specifics of it because I don't even know what it entails but it's set in stone which is nice. I don't know who needs to hear this, but don't get sick. These days with [GLOBAL EPIDEMIC] being so prevalant, it's basically a guarantee to miss work and thus, miss money. Luckily I had things taken care of beforehand, but if this came at the wrong time I'd have been fucked -- to put it politely. So the next week is gonna be spent medicated, in bed (or my desk chair), trying to will myself into better health. Gotta love the life of a working stiff, eh?

Before I got sick, however, I did some voice work for a friend of mine. I don' t know exactly how much I can say here, I know he checks this page occasionally. I'll post it up when it drops, but I'm absolutely ecstatic to have worked on this project.

Also, I've rewritten large portions of later chapters and I'm really happy with those too. Chapter 5 will get made when my model guy gets back to me and I get my hands on my new assets.

So, in a few words; I moved to the city and need to get my internet set up. 

This comes at an opportune time since I just completed chapter 4 and have a buddy of mine making some enhanced character models that will take time (Ludex if you see this, I love you man). While my Venezuelan model sweatshop works on HD-ifying Sam and Arthur's designs, I'll be setting my my new place and working offline to try and produce a side story I've wanted to do for a while. In the meantime though, I'll be a bit quiet. But when I come back, I'll be bringing "STRIPPED: JOIN OR DIE" in full for your viewing pleasure. 

This will be a short story about what Freedom's newest recruit, Oliver Richards, and his first days fighting for Treadwell's militia. I can't say more without spoiling it, so be on the lookout for it. I'll be dropping the entire thing on release day as I said earlier.

Being quite possibly one of the only people making comics in Garry's Mod currently is odd. I remember back when I really got into Source Engine Art, back in 2012, it was common. On the old Facepunch forums you'd see a new comic come out every couple months. In 2021, is a dying medium to say the least. I never thought I'd be the one carrying the torch of this decade old game engine's comic scene when I first got into it. 

If any comic makers still use Gmod or Source Filmmaker, I'd love to hear from you. I know plenty of people who use it for artwork still, but comics are definitely uncommon today.
